Golden Bear Golf Club

Created by the Jack Nicklaus' design team, the Golden Bear Golf Club is an excellent example of Hilton Head golf. Created on a fairly flat terrain, with little natural mounding, the Nicklaus Architectural group relied primarily on ponds, marsh and the forest to carve a challenging, yet fair test of golf.

Golden Bear is highly-regarded by, and a local favorite of the golf community on Hilton Head Island. The course reaches just over 7,000 yards at the tips, but most visitors will have plenty of challenges at either 6,643 or 6,184 yards. The facility is owned by Club Corporation of America, a leader in providing truly professional, quality public-access courses.

Since it’s opening in 1992, the Golden Bear at Indigo Run has become a “Must Play” for Hilton Head Island. This Nicklaus-designed course is well known for its Low Country beauty & its wide variety of shot-making requirements.
