Shipyard Golf Club

Nestled within Hilton Head's natural setting of majestic Carolina pine trees, flowering magnolias and moss draped oaks, Shipyard Golf Club's 27-holes offer some of the most spectacular golf imaginable. The former home of the Hilton Head Seniors International from 1982 to 1984, Shipyard Golf Club was rated as one of the finest layouts on the Champions TOUR. Located at the south end of the island in Shipyard Plantation and adjacent to The Crowne Plaza Resort, resident golfers and visitors are welcome year round.

Adding to the beauty and character of the 27-holes of championship golf are many lagoons and ponds, which must be negotiated if you are to play to your handicap. The three courses offer four tee positions to accommodate all levels of play, and there are ample risk and reward situations to allow optimal scoring opportunities. Accurate tee shots and well-measured approaches are a must on this championship course. The greens are large and well bunkered, and their undulating surfaces demand a delicate, yet determined touch.

Two of the three inter-connecting nines are combined for a unique and challenging 18-hole round. The original Clipper and Galleon courses create an exciting combination of long fairways and perilous hazards, while the Brigantine course winds its way around lagoons and breathtaking terrain.

Shipyard Golf Club, Oyster Reef Golf Club, and Port Royal Golf Club were recently acquired by Heritage Golf Group  a leading owner and operator of golf facilities nationwide.
