Refreshingly original in its unique character and style, the Robert Cupp course is a favorite among residents and visitors. With lakes, lagoon and marsh in view on 16 of the 18 holes, the course represents a striking balance between beauty and challenge. Great fun for all skill levels. Come play the most unique golf course Hilton Head Island has to offer!
Opened in 1993, the Robert Cupp Course at Palmetto Hall represents a new approach to conventional golf course architecture. Named the 1992 Golf Architect of the Year by Golf World, Cupp plotted the course's original design on computer, thus this well-maintained, challenging layout is characterized by straight lines, sharp angles and unusual shapes.
The Cupp course is extremely flexible depending on which tees you elect to play from. From the back tees its 141 slope rating ranks it as one of the most demanding championship courses in the southeastern part of the United States, while the course is eminently playable from the forward tees.
